Scott Iles has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. As a financial coach, he guides families to align their money with their purpose then plan and invest to live a life they love.
Scott is a caring and patient guide for families and has extensive experience in investing, retirement and financial planning. His reassuring presence helps make investing and complex issues such as long-term care, Social Security, and life insurance easy to understand.
Scott began his career in 1987 as a Senior Sales Consultant with The Hartford Insurance Company. In 1997 he joined Webster Bank as an Investment Representative and Branch Manager. In 2001, Scott transitioned from a client service position with Bankers Life and Casualty to Kelly Financial Group, an independent retirement planning firm.
With a goal to educate clients and put their interests before anything else, in 2005 Scott and his colleague Greg Hammond, CFP®, CPA became business partners, acquiring Kelly Financial Group from its founder, Walter J. Kelly, Jr. Scott became a managing member and Vice President. Greg and Scott made a smooth transition without losing a single client. In 2012 Kelly Financial Group changed its name to Hammond Iles Wealth Advisors and continues to grow and flourish serving three generations of families.
Scott has co-hosted over 80 episodes of Your Money, Your Purpose radio show and podcast where he helps listeners dive deep into all things money. He holds a degree in finance and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Naugatuck Valley College, Waterbury, CT. Scott is an avid sports fan and enjoys the occasional golf or fishing outing. He contributes locally through Hammond Iles annual gift matching program to benefit CT Children’s Medical Center and local nonprofits focused on health and food insecurity.
Scott lives in Wolcott, CT with his wife Melissa. They have two sons, Kevin who is also a financial coach at Hammond Iles and Christopher who attends University of Vermont.
